New Referral Program
Hello everybody! So I was very excited to see the launch of a new referral program. However, after reading the extent of the guidelines, I think a couple of things are fairly tacky and would likely leave us promoting for free. Before I name those I would at least like to say that I appreciate the unlimited free shipping strictly as a consumer. My issues though are that: one, a customer must not have ever ordered from Sticker Mule before. Many, MANY people that I work with in my industry have ordered at least once, and most of those who do not consistently only go elsewhere due to economical competition. Two: we collect a commission from said “new customers” for their first year of ordering but the free shipping that they are receiving, and costing Sticker Mule, actually comes out of our pocket. So say, on average, if shipping something costs the company $10, then our newly referrals would have to spend at least $100 to compensate Sticker Mule’s promotion if the commission were 10%. This basically means that we work to find new customers, forward them to purchase here, and basically work to offset a promotion that Sticker Mule has chosen to run. This is very unsettling to me and even more so for people who did not read the contract. If I have misunderstood Sticker Mule staff, please do bring it to my attention. I personally will not be signing up and have actually removed the previous “set amount reward” link from my Linktree simply due to the ethical principal of how I currently perceive this program as being misleading/”fine printed”. -SMSD
